1979 Chevy Square Body LS Swap

This 1979 Chevy square body came in with a blown 454 big block. Instead of rebuilding it, we pulled it and dropped in a 2011 6.0 liter LS. The engine got a BTR Truck Norris cam with a VVT delete, which wakes up the power band and cleans up the valvetrain for a more traditional LS setup. Fuel delivery is handled by a FiTech Ultimate LS EFI system, giving it modern driveability in a classic package.

On the exhaust side we built a full custom system from the ground up. Speed Engineering 1 3/4 inch long tube headers feed into a full 2 1/2 inch custom exhaust with wireless cutouts. The cutouts let you run it quiet when you want and open it up when you don't. On a square body with a healthy 6.0, you're going to want to open them up.
